Durga Puja

From the Chairman's Desk

Dr. S C Chakrabarti

It is our utmost pleasure to celebrate Durga Puja this year also for the 21st time in a row. Mother Durga will be invoked on 4th October 2019 and will be worshipped for subsequent 4 days at our Shipra Riviera Housing Complex with great joy and pleasure, with pomp and glory.

Mother Durga is the embodiment of eternal ‘shakti’, the epitome of elegance. Every year she descends on earth to eliminate the ‘ashur probritti’ (evil spirits and thoughts) from our minds, to douse our soul with zeal and to perpetuate our mind with strength, valour and noble thoughts.

I can easily see the above zeal and energy in the minds of our residents, old and young alike, to celebrate the Puja. The enormous efforts and dedication imbibed by Mother Durga in the minds of Durga Puja Committee and other workers have made it possible for our Puja last year to earn laurel from amongst all the Durga Pujas in Indirapuram. This year also we will strive to achieve the same glory.

Nothing spectacular can be achieved without efforts and patronage from the public in general. I, therefore, ardently appeal to all to come forward like every year and help us to make this year’s Durga Puja a great success by liberal donations, sponsorship of stalls, advertisements and various other items. I do hope that like earlier years this year also, we will be able to get the same patronage and cooperation and the Puja will be a great success with the addition of some new and noble thoughts to it.

I would like to take this opportunity to put on record the untiring efforts and indomitable spirits of the Durga Puja Executive Committee members, other workers and for the cooperation and assistance of Shipra Riviera residents in general. In the face of enormous difficulties and tremendous hindrances, they have overcome all to make the celebration a great success.

Last but not the least, I express my sincere thanks and gratitude to the sponsors of various items of expenditure, advertisers, shoppers and donors, without whose participation and cooperation it would not have been possible to celebrate the Puja.
